BEACH BASH 2018
It was a pleasure to once again organise the catering for participants at the Newburgh Beach Bash 10K. This is a fantastic annual event arranged by the Newburgh Dunes Running Club.
Thank you to the Newburgh Inn for supplying the soup and bread.
Thank you to the home bakers of Newburgh for donating an array of baked goods.

CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER 2017
As per tradition, the Gala Committee organised for the community to come together for the switch on of the village tree lights. We are extremely grateful to those who came along and donated to the gala fund. The event would not have been possible without the support of:
The Community Council who arranged the tree
Ian Alexander who put the tree up
Keith Watson who hung up the lights
The church for providing shelter
The choir made up of children from the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts
Christine Fordyce who provided the musical accompaniment
The Newburgh Inn for heating the mince pies and mulled wine
THANK YOU!

SUPPORTING LOCAL GROUPS
The main aim of the gala is to provide a free, local event for people of all ages to enjoy. Should the event make a profit, those funds go back into the community.
We are happy to be able to make a donation of £500 to Newburgh Mathers School and a donation of £300 to the Newburgh Baby and Toddler Group.

CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER THANK YOU!
The Newburgh Gala Committee would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas Lights Switch On fundraiser in December.
Firstly, thank you to Rambo's Tyre Services who very generously donated the tree that now stands at the church.
Thank you also to the Foveran Community Council who put the tree up and fitted the lights.
The carol singing could not have gone ahead without the hard work of Newburgh Mathers School's Miss Taylor and the boys and girls of the choir who practised for weeks to lead the singing.
Thank you to the minister Ricky Reid for leading the countdown to switching the lights on.
Following the carols, many members of the community made their way from the church to the public hall for soup, sandwiches and home bakes.
Thank you very much to the Corner Cafe for letting the committee borrow their crockery.
Thank you to the Newburgh Inn for their generous donation of soup and sandwiches.
Thank you to everyone who baked. We were overwhelmed by your generosity.
Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes - the hampers looked fantastic!
Thank you to all the volunteers who kindly helped to set up the tables, ladle the soup, serve the teas and coffees and then help with all the tidying up.
And finally thank you to everyone who attended!
